Thick Cabinets

The drivers inside are nothing without well-designed cabinets to house them. The HD5 music system utilizes 0.7″ thick high-resin MDF walls. This design keeps vibrations low, which rounded edges reduce high-frequency diffraction effects on the front baffles, while also adding attractive aesthetics. This all works on conjunction with tuned rear port slots to help those internal drivers fill your room with clear and balanced sound.

Component Protection

Ensuring that the components of the HD5 speakers are properly protected, Audioengine incorporates various protection technologies, such as output current limiting, thermal over-temperature, power on/off transient protection, and a replaceable main fuse.
