Product information “Pro-Ject Xtension 12 / RS-309D Olive”

Listening to analog music with hi-fi devices in classical technology and with classic design has become modern again in the age of digital technology. Retro is very popular in many product areas such as cars, watches and furniture. The background is the fascination of classic design beauty coupled with outstanding quality of the components, high-quality mechanical design and an outstanding function.

Pro-Ject revived analog technology in the 90s of the 20th century and showed with surprisingly inexpensive turntables that you can listen to music on a small budget better than with any digital medium.

All the more reason to want to combine a classic analog concept of the 1980s with modern technology from Pro-Ject. Optical similarities with turntables from the first great analogue period are well aware of this.

In the Xtension, all experiences from 18 years of record player construction were used, whereby for the first time no limitation of the effort was in the foreground under cost reasons.

In addition to the proven technology of the high-end models, further ideas for optimal record reproduction have been implemented for the Xtension.
